Fonds d’attraction de
congrès internationaux
Le Fonds d’attraction de congrès internationaux (FACI) a été conçu par Destination Canada afin de démontrer l’engagement financier des villes canadiennes qui présentent leur candidature pour accueillir de grands congrès internationaux au Canada. L’objectif du fonds est d’apporter un soutien financier pendant la phase de candidature et d’examen, afin d’encourager les décideurs à choisir le Canada. Le FACI offre une aide pouvant atteindre 1 million de dollars par événement aux destinations canadiennes admissibles qui se portent candidates pour accueillir de grands événements d’affaires internationaux.
Lorsqu’ils sont organisés au Canada, les grands événements d’affaires internationaux peuvent s’avérer des outils stratégiques permettant de libérer le potentiel du tourisme et de stimuler la croissance économique, d’attirer les investissements et de favoriser la création d’emplois dans toutes les régions du pays.
